PERSONALITY
The first thing you should know is that Anthony Faraday is a control freak, just like his father. He likes for things to be done a certain way and when he has a goal, he generally accomplishes it, from graduating with honors at his university (never mind the fact that it was a party school), to falling in to the job of his dreams. He isn’t a planner but he does believe in processes. Moreover, he likes to be the boss. As complicated as that might be to explain, let’s mix in his general nonchalance and devil-may-care attitude.
Growing up in a ‘healthy’ family – that’s how he liked to put it- Tony had few cares aside from what he was going to do and he was going to do it with. He never worried about where his next meal would come from or who would be affected by his actions, and he always had an excuse for his general selfishness – only child syndrome.
He’s not a bad guy all around though. Tony is the type that you want around in the case of apocalypse. He’s always been resourceful and as mentioned before, he’s the type to make things happen. A regular McGuyver, given the fact that he was stuck the store when all hell broke loose in San Francisco, he shoved a video case over, grabbed a few poles and fashioned himself a weapon, making it out alive. He doesn’t give up easily and believes in the age old mantra: live and let live.
When not caught up in a total end of the world scenario, Tony can be found spending his off days at a local bar or harassing the nearest thing that resembles a prostitute. After all, if you’re going to dress like a slut, and bend over like a slut, you might as well be treated like one.. especially if it’s the end of the world.

HISTORY
Anthony was born and raised in Southern California by a duo that hardly ever wanted a kid, but realized thati t was a blessing to pass on the name. His father was a business man, partnering with oil companies in Texas to bring discounts to the wild, wild West whilst his mother carried on her hustle by opening up a catering company. Needless to say, they didn’t spend the most of their time with him, but he wasn’t necessarily neglected. In high school, he was a mediocre athlete, received decent grades and pretty much slid under the radar, never drawing attention to himself in areas where people may ask him to put in more effort.
Never one to leave areas unexplored, he majored in biochem at a private university where his great aunt lived in Connecticut. After graduation, he moved back home to readjust himself to LA, party and of course, put off paying rent while he lived his parents. The only downside to this set-up was his inability to bring girls home because of the two that lived upstairs. At this point, he was 23, tired of their rules, realized he hated science and wanted to explore a new domain.
So.. he moved to San Francisco at 26 where he began working at an adult video store to make ends meet. At the same time, he also worked as a personal trainer and brand representative for ‘herbal life’. Years went by before he began to even think about adjusting his lifestyle. As far as he was concerned, he made enough money to finance his single apartment, buy drinks at local bars and do whatever he pleased. He was in tip-top shape and didn’t see the need to go changing things just yet.. and then the outbreak occurred.
Ignoring the hype of the media, Anthony had originally deducted that this was just another one of the great diseases. There were a lot of them: the measles, H1N1, small pox, etc. Like many others, it wasn’t until half the world became unresponsive that he began to take notice. Continuing on with his avoidance of the 9-to-5, a late customer was the one that finally had the strike reality in to him. In response, he knocked over a bookcase and his since been a member of a team of renegades.

INVENTORY
axe, he picked up the axe while running thoughtlessly through a string of backyards. he finally stopped for breath behind an old shed where he picked up the axe and hasn't let go of it sense. although he has to be in close range to use it successfully, at least he feels safer holding it.
Semi-automatic pistol m1911, which he has owned since he graduated from college. His great uncle gave it to him in an effort to piss off his mother who was an active proponent for gun-control. It's not like he's a great shot, but finally, uncle Larry came in hand.
traveler's backpack, the only thing that he thought to grab after a quick trip back to his apartment. He has it from a study abroad trip that he took while he was a sophomore in college and all that remains within it are a few granola bar crumbs and the remnants of a Spanish phrase book.

ROLE PLAY SAMPLE
Hope flickered in his lost eyes. Finally, she was recognizing the fact that he meant something to her and that was the first step. Anthony was beginning to realize the pains that she had to struggle through, but it wasn't enough to make him lose hope. All he wanted to do was love her and he wanted to have that love returned. In his mind that wasn't such a difficult concept. Love was the purest gift that anyone could get or receive. It killed him to be a romantic, but he couldn't help how he felt. He needed to hear those words and feel her against him. It wasn't about a possession or the need to rekindle hat he left behind. In its simplest form, he loved her and wanted her to be happy; albeit with him and not someone else. It was a selfish yearning, but after all he'd experience and for the sake of others, did he not have the right? A loose smile curled on to his thin lips, yet he kept his head bowed towards the table. Ultimately, Anthony feared that making too much eye contact with her would make him lose his resolve. He was steady, level headed at this point and knew what he wanted to say and how to say it. Looking deep into her eyes would make him lose himself to a fury of passion. One moment's slip up could ruin their potential. He didn't want to take that risk. Especially when, finally, there was a chance on the table for her to come around to him. Not that he’d doubted it, but her etched poker face was slowly being shaken away.
Wry, Anthony scoffed to himself. Raising his head, his strong fingers quickly unzipped his hoodie and he shook it off. The rain’s stain was beginning to seep into his inner clothing and it sent chills down his spine. Wet marks could be seen down his back and on the shoulders of his white v-neck. He laid the jacked on the seat of the booth next to him as drips of water crawled down the red, vinyl seating. “Oddly, if anything I think that he should be worried about us. Wouldn’t what happens between the two of you be a resulting factor of whatever happens between us – if anything even happens at all?” He didn’t want to appear to forward so he added in the last bit. She already knew where he stood. “You know that I don’t know the guy, Henry, and I’d like to change that, but I will still always believe that it’s you and me that are meant to be. I can tell from the way that you talk about the guy, Sade. But this isn’t how I wanted this meeting to go. I don’t want to have the same fight. I want to…” he spoke gingerly, his tone faded as he searched for the right words and eventually gave up.
He gazed at her adoringly, his heart tripled in speed as she bit her lip in contemplation. She was a thinker, she considered her options and he respected he for that. Yet for once, he wanted her to dive into something – something other than proposed marriage in his absence. She considered everyone before herself and as far as he was concerned: “You’re taking the easy way out.” That was it! It had to be, he slumped back on his booth and an odd sound accompanied his deep sigh. “You just don’t want to have to make a decision so you’re trying to push me away so that you don’t have to, Sadie. I know you. For crying out loud, at least say that you don’t want to see me instead of trying to make it sound like it was my choice or that I want something else. Out of the two of us, I’m the one here that is fully aware of my options and what I want. The question is what do you want? I don’t want to pressure you and I’m sorry for yelling --,” he turned to a waitress as she neared their table and waved her away as politely as he could considering the heat the was empowering him to pursue his mind. With another breath he carried on, the few people that were in the diner with them, taking to entertain their conversation. Who wouldn’t when a live action soap opera was taking place before you?
“Now I really know that you’re just looking for an out. You’re fucked up internally? Anthony let her marinate on the thought as a hearty laugh escaped him. You’re acting like such a woman right now, Sadie. Stop thinking about everything that you’ve seen in the movies or read in books. There is nothing wrong with you. I am the one with internal damage. I lived in the wilderness with people who wanted to kill me. I was held captive, I’d killed and seen so much bloodshed. I’m the one that is bound to have a few issues and hell, maybe that’s why you’re running from me – but you are the one that can fix it. ” With that he took a breath and the waitress arrived with their coffee in tow. The mousey thing shot Anthony a worried look and patted his shoulder before she scurried away. Afraid of being caught in the middle of an outburst, no doubt. So much for staying calm. Anthony was now completely sure that this would be their last time together. He came on to strong and she wasn’t going to budge. If such as the case, he’d need to leave this town immediately. He wouldn’t be here and suffer while watching her with another name whom she barely cared for.
