ainsley beaumont "alphabet" caldwell is a good person; she'd like you to know that before she does something that will probably make you think otherwise. and she will make you think otherwise. not intentionally, and not maliciously, but because sometimes she just makes bad choices, and she can't seem to help herself. she's the head of security for grim's row; the disembodied voice that plans the routines and regulations, not because she's particularly militant, but because she has a photographic memory. she remembers every special operations mission her security firm completed like it was written on a cheat sheet, she remembers figures and statistics that would make a brain trust salivate; but despite this ability, she tries to hide it. she doesn't want the attention and stigma one might give to someone who couldn't forget a slight.
she's a breath of fresh air in a grim filled post-war prison. she's lacking all those serious bones that seem to have multiplied since the outbreak, and she's particularly cavalier about her own statistic of survival. "hey, it could be worse; you could be me, i've narrowed my death down to mauling and general dismemberment." she's the embodiment of 'u mad bro?' and nothing shakes her; because some trigger was muffled in her up-bringing and she just doesn't feel things as heavily as most. she's broken, and breaking more every day, but that's alright. isn't everyone?
friends. she probably has these because she will go out of her way to be your friend, not because she's a particularly social person, she just can't help it. she needs someone to rebound her off-the-wall comments to, to blather about whatever asinine thought crosses her mind at any given moment. she's been on a raid or two, and she can handle herself well enough, and considering the circumstances, her fatalistic approach to life has left her well adjusted.
enemies. haters gonna hate. these people will always be out there; those who just can't wrestle themselves from the grip of hate. she might rub people the wrong way if they think her to be the casual sloth of a nerd that she presents to the world; anyone who's spent more than a few minutes will realize the Picasso of thought rolling behind the constant commentary.
romance. her answer would be "yes, please." - she's open to anything, because she's never really considered herself a sexual creature, not with how heavily she threw herself into work at the security firm, and now in keeping grim's row safe.
