I'll pretty this up later, I'm sure, but I just wanted to get this info up ASAP!
Here's Jack "Texas" Aubrey, a former Captain of the United States Marine Corps and all around farm boy, and he has very few moral lines to cross. He had spent the majority of his life on his grandfather's ranch where he broke horses, tended to cattle, and hunted before he had joined the military in order to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and see more of the world. He had served overseas in numerous tours during his lengthy service to the Corps. Yet, what he had seen and done had scarred him both physically and mentally, and Jack had chosen to accept an honorable discharge before retiring to his family ranch. It was there he lived during the extent of the pandemic, at least until they infected had sullied it all. Before he left, he burned the ranch down, killed his infected grandfather and mother, and fled with what food and supplies he could carry, his mustang Apache, and his border collie Monty. Ever since, Jack has lived out on the road, hunts for wild game, scavenges for supplies and canned goods, and makes a living trading to any person and population he may come across, although he has been incredibly wary of anyone. He's known as "Texas" because of his southern drawl, traditional, old school demeanor, and quick, precise shooting. Some have even considered him a guardian who has killed dangerous men and infected at a distance with his rifle, and on a number of occasions he has taken on dangerous missions if the money was right.
FRIENDS He might have a few, but honestly, what friends he does have are those who probably owe him a favor or vice versa, and may even be people he has cut deals with in the past with what meat and furs he may bring into town. He doesn't allow anyone to get very close to him, and he rarely, if ever, gives out his birth name to anyone. He doesn't go out of his way to make friends unless they benefit him in some way, particularly when it comes to bartering or information about his sister (whom he thinks is still alive and was living in California during the start of it all).
ENEMIES Jack has stolen from more or less anyone and everyone over his time surviving in this now cruel, dark world. He has also killed a number of people without discrimination when it came to it. Jack's crude, blunt way with words is far from charming as well. He doesn't go out of his way to make enemies, but it happens.
LOVERS Rare. Jack hasn't been with a woman since he had returned stateside after the military, which makes him pretty far into his celibacy now. That's not to say he isn't attracted to women or wouldn't, however, but Jack's uncertainty of people and the infected has kept him away from physical contact. It would be interesting if Jack meets someone though and gets involved somehow.
