you can play your card,
i'll hold onto mine.
the false, but convincingly warm morning beams of light that pulsed down from scar's garden roof were always a comforting thing for pandora to feel, even now as an adult. in all her years of living here, their garden had always been a wonderful place she could escape in. the tall trees, and lavish plants that grew around the glass outter windows of the room had always been her favourite to trace with her eyes. but now that she was an adult, her attention was turning more towards the different types of flowers that had been planted, most strains of common flowers, like roses, daises, and sunflowers. but the flowers that had been spliced together with different genes of plant were far more exciting to look at.
currently, the second in command was perched on one of the many garden benches, well away from the vegetables, tucked close into the patches of flowers she admired so dearly. it didn't dawn on her that it might be odd, for someone to notice their co-leader sitting by herself an hour before dawn, doing nothing but staring at silly plants. but then again, pandora didn't consider most of the people she talked to her friends. not her actual friends, anyway. their opinions were their own, and they were entitled to them. she didn't have to care if someone found her odd, or strange. this was her home, her family. and until she perished from something or another, they'd have to deal with her "peculiar" habits.
when she grew tired of seeping the details in on a red and violet flower, she shifted in her position, crossing her legs underneath her on top of the bench's surface. as she scouted around, her eyes combing the surrounding window-walls she could see to look for anyone who was up and about, pandora raised her right hand, tipping her mug to her lips. her tea was cold by now, but the sweet taste was still the same, and it was enough to make her smile into her cup. her eyes didn't catch anything that interested her much on their journey, only coming across a few people who were either too busy reading their logs, or too focused on where they were headed to even look into the garden. she wasn't even sure if they'd be able to see her at a quick glance with how dim the lighting was, mimicking the soon-to-rise sun outside.
inhale through her nose, she set her cup back down against her knee, reclining to press her back into the bench. as she let her inhale escape, she perked up a bit when her eyes caught a flash of bright green and dark yellow, instantly allowing herself to become memorized by the strange flower.
