PERSONALITY
sarcastic , Sage doesn’t take anything seriously. Everything is a joke to him and he doesn’t care if he hurts other peoples’ feelings or not. He’ll make you the butt of the joke and think nothing of it. This also makes him appear disrespectful, rude, and tactless. He thinks a lot of people are just uptight pricks with their knickers in a bunch. If people would just loosen up and have fun, the world would be a better place, in his opinion. He can also been as rather humorous, but he’s humor tends to dabble on the dark side of the spectrum.
intelligent , This young man has the whole package, both street smarts and book smarts. This frustrated his father to no end because he was fully able to run a company. He picks things up quickly and is able to understand and perform to near excellence. He is also quick at adapting to situations and has an easy time going with the flow. In fact, he prefers change rather than the same old, same old. Routines, especially, bug him to no end. He likes when things are unexpected. It jostles him and keeps him on his toes. So, he’s not exactly sad that the apocalypse came to be.
adventurous , He loves anything that supplies a thrill especially when that something comes out of nowhere. One of his aspirations before the outbreak was to backpack around Europe. More than anything he would love to be able to travel around the world and experience new things and different cultures. He does have an appetite for learning, especially when it deals with other cultures and things of that nature.
infected , Above anything else, Sage is an infected, and he is aware of this. He doesn’t exactly remember when he goes full on feeding frenzy, but he has vicious flashbacks and dreams that keep him aware of exactly what he has been up to while his brain is on autopilot. No to mention the hallucinations that frequent his mind. He isn’t really sure how he feels about being an intelligent zombie but he’s happy that he doesn’t feel the need to snort or inject. Something about the virus messed with his body and he doesn’t feel addicted to drugs any longer… instead he’s addicted to flesh, what a fun trade off, right?
selfish , Sage has always done whatever he pleases. He doesn’t care about how it affects others so long as he gets what he wants. but he is both aware of it and ashamed of his actions but he doesn’t know how to communicate his feelings properly. So, instead he just lashes out or ignores his feelings by popping a pill, getting drunk, and things of that nature.

HISTORY
Sage belonged to Martha and Gerome Anderson. His father was a CEO of a major corporation before the virus went on a rampage while his mother was the typical trophy wife – but not exactly by choice. Martha was beautiful and came from a small southern town in Kentucky. She had little money but she saved for many years so that she could try out her dream as a model in the big city. Although with very little experience, she was able to land an agent and a few jobs, but money was still tight. It was around that time when she met Gerome Anderson. He was a handsome man and was already well established, thanks to his family and their connections. Martha, being young and naïve, was floored when Gerome asked her out on a date while they were at a benefit. Of course, Martha agreed, and the pair courted from there.
At first, Gerome was a sweet guy. Very romantic and generous with his money but a man like that could never be satisfied with one girl. However, his family insisted that he marry Martha because of her naivety and her public image as a “good girl.” Eventually, Gerome conceded and asked Martha to marry him. She was elated and they had a beautiful wedding ceremony on the beaches of San Fran. However, shortly into their marriage, it was clear that Gerome had no intention of staying faithful to her. Not that he was unkind, but he was simply not into the whole monogamous lifestyle. When he could, he slept with any female that caught his fancy – taking her to trips, hotels, dinners, the works. All the while, Martha stayed at home.
About a year into their relationship, Martha became pregnant. Mostly due to her father in law’s insistence – they needed an heir to their fortune, didn’t they? Throughout the pregnancy, Martha dreamed of returning back to Kentucky but she knew she couldn’t. It was fear that kept her rooted in their glorious mansion. Plus, she knew she couldn’t leave without her baby boy.
Sage, at a young age, was already being groomed for success but he had no interest in it. He hated the way his father treated his mother and would often turn to substance abuse or drinking. There were many times when he and his father would have fights – most of the time turning physical, leaving Sage to nurse a black eye or a broken rib. Martha couldn’t take it and she’d often try to come between them, landing herself in the hospital more than once.
As he got older, it was clear that he was fully able to run a business. He was intelligent, more so than he let on, but he still refused to be a part of it. He spent less and less time from his house and more time drinking or snorting or injecting with his friends. This made him feel incredibly guilty because he was no better than his father – leaving his mother alone in the house, practically abandoning her for his own selfish reasons.
When he graduated high school (just barely) he joined his friends and started to look for work on the streets. He was a dealer for a long time but eventually got a job as a waiter and then recently moved up to become a bartender. His mother would often visit him at the bar, which only made him feel worse. It was around this time that Gerome decided that Martha would have another child, and this child would be the rightful heir to his family’s fortune. However, this is when the outbreak occurred and everything went to shit.
Sage has no idea what happened to his parents or even his junkie friends, for that matter. He was holed up in the storm room when everyone was becoming rampant. He’s now in search of his mother and hopes to get her to Grim’s Row.

INFECTED SURVIVOR
- gardening hoe , behind his and his roommate's house is an old tool shed from the previous occupant. sage rummaged through it during the outbreak and grabbed whatever would be useful. the hoe is slightly rusty but it works well enough.
- battery operated nail gun , another item he picked out of the shed. it's quieter than a gun but doesn't get as good of range or impact. the batteries are rechargeable.
- bicycle , while everyone else was concerned with getting the hell out of san fran. sage decided it was too risky to run, so instead he hid and kept his bike with him. it's a rusty piece of shit but it's quiet and gets him places.
