PERSONALITY
affectionate , at one point in jasper’s life, he was affectionate. people loved to be in his presence because he was jovial and produced good feelings all around. jasper’s love for others and life was infectious. however, since his twin brother (samuel) abandoned him, his loving demeanor soon faded away—even though, at his core, he is very much still a warm puddle of romantic goop. the handsome man has built up numerous walls to keep himself from caring about others, so that he doesn’t have to suffer through any more pain and backlash from those he trusted. plus, in a zombie infested world, who needs friends and affection?
however, if he were to open up to somebody he absolutely loves to cuddle. he expresses himself through touch and believes that words do not carry as much magnitude as a tender caress. but he does compliment, if only to show his gratitude more definitively. he also likes to buy gifts, tokens of his affection, and they are usually items that mean something to one of the receiving parties. it is a very special thing, when jasper takes the time to buy (or create) someone a gift—one must cherish it.
introverted , jasper had been on top of the world when his brother was at his side. he felt powerful and confident, nothing could touch him as long as he had his twin brother. but when they had their falling out, he adopted a new lifestyle, a style that was much more low key. a lot of the people who knew him when he was younger just thought that he had outgrown his prankish, cocky immaturity and that he managed to blossom into a respectful gentlemen. even though the latter isn’t true, he likes that people believe that he’s capable of getting along by himself and that he didn’t need samuel’s constant companionship to function.
yet, as onlookers see a recluse gentleman, he often has feelings of worthlessness. not that anyone can be blamed for not noticing his true feelings. he rarely communicates them and if he tries to, he often stops himself because he believes that people simply do not care about him. therefore, he tends to listen to other peoples’ sob stories and help them the best he can. he deems himself the “go-to therapist.”
mistrusting , if his own twin had the ability to abandon him then why won’t everybody else? that’s his mindset which hinders him from truly connecting with others. while he is an intelligent, creative young man with wonderful scores, he just cannot bring himself to trust others. he tends to always find some sort of fault with the relationship and ends it one way or the other. or, he keeps the said person at arm’s reach to protect himself and his fragile heart.
possessive , one of his biggest secrets. once he acquires something, like a girlfriend, he is incredibly possessive. if someone looks at his girlfriend in the wrong way, he has no qualms about speaking his mind about it or laying down the law (even if that means punching some bloke out). while he will value and love his mate unconditionally, they must be willing to do the same and be accepting of his possessive’ness.
wiccan , before the outbreak, jasper was a wiccan and he still considers himself one today. while he acknowledges others’ beliefs and respects them, he prefers his religion and the way it is structured. jasper has always believed that humans were meant to enjoy the current life they are given and not worry about what comes next – the wheel of the world, you know? enjoy it.

HISTORY
Jasper was born in San Francisco along with his twin brother, Samuel. They had a father who tended to stay at home a lot to watch and take care of them. He had a part time job with a computer company and was able to work at home. Their mother was a professor at the local university – a professor of philosophy as well as anthropology. Together, they were an odd pair but they just clicked. They instilled free thinking in their children and, while strict, they were also very loving and affectionate when it came to their parenting styles. They lived in a tall yet quaint house – the kind of houses that were jammed side by side like a can of sardines. It was painted light blue with fancy lace looking trimming and the mortgage was ridiculously expensive, but the family managed to make each payment, and the boys got to live in cozy environment.
Growing up, they were always together. They understood each other like no one else ever could and so, they developed a very close knit bond. It was them against the world. When it came to school, they were rather reserved and cautious. Samuel always pulled the better grades while Jasper preferred literature and art courses. When they were away from each other, they didn’t cope well. They always seemed anxious, like on the verge of a panic attack. However, whenever they did come together, all those feelings sort of melted away. When it came to after school activities, the boys would decide which club to attend and would work out a schedule so that they both could be with each other and still enjoy whatever club they were interested in. Meaning, Jasper would be often get dragged to a biology club meeting just as he would tug Samuel along to poetry club.
When the pair entered high school, nothing seemed to change. That is, until the end of their sophomore year. Before then, the boys had always had a few girlfriends but nothing too extreme. Just crushes that they were curious about and decided to “date” – which meant online chatting, a hug good bye, and that was about it. So, it was never anything solid. However, Samuel began to truly fall for someone – a guy in his class and that scared him. Jasper was supportive of his crush and urged him to go for it.
At first, everything was fine, until it turned so very wrong. Samuel began to ignore or avoid Jasper and when Jasper asked about it, Samuel would shrug and say he didn’t know what he was talking about. The harder Jasper pursued it, the further away the twins got, until eventually Samuel had cut Jasper out of his life completely. They no longer spoke unless they had to and Samuel spent the majority of his time out with his serious boyfriend – whom he was still dating when the outbreak occurred.
Jasper went on and graduated, ended up going to film school where he eventually became a famous screenwriter – but was more into writing indie scripts than the Hollywood sort. He kept regular contact with his parents and while he never asked about his twin, more because of pride, his parents would keep him up to date with his on goings. And, as far as his social life went, he didn’t have much of one. He spent most of his time as a wallflower, which prompted his amazing scripts.
At the time of the virus outbreak, he was at home watching TV and tried to book it out of the city but ended up holing up somewhere until things quieted down.
