a more simpler form of communication, though its distance is a lot more restricted to enclosed areas before signals start to wheeze in and out. not only that, but you chance someone else tuning into your frequency and overhearing your conversations.

it's taken a great amount of effort to sustain life free from infection, but hopefully the island will soon become self-sustaining.

while the food is rationed and generally bad, it's better than nothing. if you can identify your food, don't complain.

the presence of the island's bar is generally ignored as long as no one causes any trouble. the moonshine may not be safe, but it'll do the job.

no one likes body odor. it's a communal shower, but there are individual stalls, and running water to rid any excuse to smell bad.

did you get an ouchie on a raid, or just stupidity around the island? someone'll patch you up here if you're patient enough.

the training room is open to everyone, but most of the time, only military personnel visit. the weapons room is closed unless you have the proper authorization.

pieced together from equipment retrieved from raids, the lab is rudimentary at best, but it works.

the military personnel of the island reside here in one room. cots are set-up for individuals, surrounded by curtains to give a sense of privacy.

set-up much like an apartment complex, housing is decided based on the size of the family. individuals are assigned cells.

the only reason the island hasn't been thrown into worse situations is because of the multiple generators located in the basement.

clogged with stalled cars and the attempts of people trying to leave the city, it's rather hard to navigate your way around. luckily, it makes up for it in lots of cover.

while most have been emptied, there might still be a chance to salvage a few goods.

at least ridiculous gas prices don't exist anymore. if you'd managed to get a car to the pump, it's first come, first serve.

unknowingly to most of the survivors that wander the streets of san francisco, striving to survive, the tearmann's actually a safe house all in itself. but if you don't play nice and make friends with the owner, aislin mac carthaigh, you might find yourself left in the horde.

if you're looking for fresh fruits and vegetables, you're looking in the wrong place. there's no guaranteeing that the items are safe, but it's the best there is.

there's not much emergency services can do for you now, but supplies might help you do it yourself.

only a couple stretches of beach still remain, the rest littered with the dead and infected. not exactly ideal for a romantic walk anymore, now is it?

there's enough supplies to last a month, though the windowless building isn't an appropriate substitute for the safety of the island.

most who want to put some wilderness between them and the city streets usually head here if they can't make it out of san fran. it's 1,017 acres various green make it perfect for laying low for a few days.

this is the heart of big brother. every camera broadcasts to a tv located within this room. nothing goes unnoticed, so you better watch your step.

just try and convince yourself those stains on the wall are just paint. there are no rules, and if they want information, they'll get it.

once the doors are closed, it's impossible to enter this room without the proper clearance. people caught snooping will be publicly executed.

just about everything is state of the art- as close to it as possible with today's standards, anyway. the lab's already produced a cure, and is well on their way to salvation.

the food isn't much better than what you would've eaten in your high school cafeteria, but it's definitely a step up from canned goods.

it's not the same as a real garden, but it's close enough. anyone who doesn't have a green thumb would hardly be able to tell the difference.

the underground's medical facility is used for both minor and major injuries.

there's absolutely no playing around during training. the trainers expect the best, and if you're not dragging yourself out the door, they're not satisfied.

if the alarms go off, evacuation to the bunker is required. there's enough supplies to last, but it's wired to destroy the facility around it if necessary.
